Grzegorz Vytlacil – cello

Anna Kamińska – piano

The Trio Lontano was established in 2009 by graduates of Polish academies of music: Paweł Polak, Grzegorz Vytlacil and Anna Maria Kamińska, who studied with Janusz Skramlik, Witalis Jerzy Raczkiewicz and Andrzej Zieliński. The musicians have perfected their skills at postgraduate studies, master classes and scholarships with distinguished artists and teachers, e.g. Rossano Baldini, Marieke Keser, Robert Szreder, Bartosz Bryła, Christoph Wyneken and Semion Yaroshevich. The members of the Trio Lontano have cooperated, as soloists and chamber musicians, with numerous orchestras and ensembles in Poland and abroad. They have appeared at such events as the Chamber Music Session in Kiev, the Forum Musicum Festival in Wrocław and Muzyka w Starym Kościele in Białystok in collaboration with some eminent artists, including Kevin Kenner and Ewa Vesin.

Whereas the trio’s repertoire includes works written by composers from various countries and in different historical eras, it mostly centres around Polish chamber music written by such composers as Ludomir Różycki, Grzegorz Fitelberg and Fryderyk Chopin. Their debut CD album was released in 2017; it featured the Rhapsody in D minor op. 33 by Różycki and the Piano Trio in F minor op. 10 by Fitelberg. Other than playing together in a trio, the musicians also perform as soloists and work as teachers.
