Zdzisław Supierz

He graduated from the Conservatory in Amsterdam. Since 1984, he has been active as an impresario, producer and co-producer of various music events in the field of opera, operetta, musical and ballet, as well as concerts of chamber and symphonic music. He has been involved in more than 1800 music productions in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Ukraine and Poland. The events he has organised were held in such places as Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam, Muziekcentrum Vredenburg in Utrecht, De Doelen in Rotterdam, the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, the Odessa National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, the Taras Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Pyotr Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in Kyiv.

He has collaborated with the Orchestra of the 18th Century under Frans Brüggen, Sinfonia Varsovia under Nigel Kennedy, Schönberg Ensemble under Reinbert de Leeuw and the Kraków Philharmonic. He was a co-founder of Collegium Europae, a Baroque orchestra, which performed between 1988 and 1995 under the direction of Wieland Kuijken. He has toured with the ensembles of the National Theatre in Warsaw, the Stanisław Moniuszko Grand Theatre in Poznań, the Grand Theatre in Łódź, the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk, the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre in Vilnius, the Latvian National Theatre in Riga, the Mikhailovsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg and the National Theatre in Szeged. The highlights of his productions include the staging of Aida by Giuseppe Verdi in the cities of the Benelux: Groningen and Hasselt. In 1994, he conducted a series of lectures addressed to directors of opera theatres held at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He has also produced a number of record albums and television programmes.
